Christmas 2008

Merry Christmas! We had such a good Christmas this year. The girls were a lot of fun to watch. We got to spend some time with both sides of the family. The roads were horrible and we probably should've just stayed home. On the way up to Jeremy's parents house we went down a little road with drifts up to the mirrors on the truck. We should've got stuck but we didn't. Jeremy is a good driver I guess. Again we ate ALOT of food and enjoyed everyone's company. Thank you to everyone for all the gifts and fun! I can't believe it's come and gone so quickly. Now onto 2009.

Christmas Eve

The other day I just had one of those days that you just sit back and think "I LOVE being a mom1" My kids were so good and just so much fun to be around. For example the girls just love to play inside this princess tent. Sadie will always be hiding in it and Taylor will go find her. Lots of laughing involved. Please note Taylor is wearing her princess dress in this picture.
Jeremy signed up for Skype and her is Taylor talking to me on the phone. I was work and she called to tell me to pick up some oranges for her. Note here she is again in the dress. I'm not kidding she wears this dress everyday.
On Christmas Eve it's my sister in laws birthday and we all went ice skating. Taylor was so excited! She couldn't wait to get out on the ice.
She kept wanting to go so fast. It was so funny cuz she wouldn't hold her feet still and just slide. She was trying to run in the ice skates. So here is me and Bryce holding her up. At the end Arik and Ryan took her around really fast. She thought that was the coolest thing ever. Let's just say she didn't want to go home.
And here is Miss Sadie watching all the fun. She looked through the window and would get excited when we would skate by.
Here is little girl number one out for the count.
And here is little girl number 2 out for the count. It was so funny. Taylor talks in her sleep sometimes and all of a sudden she says "go fast so fast" She was dreaming about ice skating. How cute huh.
Here is Taylor with her cookies and letter to Santa. Sadie was already asleep for the night.
My mom made all the grandkids bean bags and Taylor had to sleep on hers Christmas Eve. How cute huh. We got to spend Christmas Eve at my moms house and it was a lot of fun. We played Christmas Jingo, the hat game, and had a guitar hero contest. We ate lots of food and opened some presents!

Finally Excited

I'm finally excited for Christmas. I think it had to do with the speaker we had today at church. For some reason his talk just touched me. There is a lot more to Christmas than just THINGS. I am so grateful for my beautiful family. For their good health, for my husband and his priesthood. I'm grateful for the gospel and all it has done in my life. I'm grateful for the Atonement. I'm glad we celebrate Christmas because it just makes you remember Christ and all that He has done for us!

We were supposed to go to Utah this weekend but due to the weather we decided to stay home. I'm so glad we did! I got to go to my work's company party
which was a lot of fun. Drug Jeremy around shopping Saturday morning which always is fun. The girls LOVE sportsmans warehouse. Taylor kept asking Jeremy to take her fishing. Everyone we passed just laughed. Then Sadie couldn't be more excited. She was kicking her feet and staring at all the animals. I think it made Jeremy's day. We had Jeremy's grandmas 80th birthday party too. Then we were able to go to church and listen to this talk. It was amazing to me. I just feel like I needed to hear it. So for the holidays I just want to be with family. I want to see my girls faces light up with excitement. I want to hear Taylor say "Your the best mom and I love you." I want to see Sadie smile and do her little dance she does. That's all I want and I think I will be the happiest mom alive! So to everyone who reads this Happy Holidays and I hope you enjoy them as much as I am going to!

Here's a picture of the 3 most important people of my life!

Winter Winter Winter

Here is Taylor getting ready to go outside in the snow. She had so much fun. I need to get her some waterproof gloves though. Her poor hands were ICE cold when she came back in. Taylor has been waiting for so long to go play in the snow. I think she is over it now cuz she keeps asking me when the leaves and grass come back. That's my girl:).
And this is usually the picture I get with Sadie. She NEVER keeps her eyes open for pictures. What a little cheeser huh! Oh she is so much fun. I can't believe that both of my girls are growing up so fast!

Husband Tag

I saw this on my friend Amber's blog and thought I would give it a whirl. Who doesn't love to gush about their husband:)!

5 things he LOVES
1- Hunting, Fly Fishing, and Golf
2- Miami Dolphins
3- North Carolina Tarheels
4- Mt. Dew
5- Me and the girls!

5 things on his TO DO list
1- Work (He is SO busy trying to get his new company up and running.)
2- Work out or try to.
3- Seal the shower
4- Find some spare time
5- Hang out with us.

5 Foods he ENJOYS
1- Haystacks
2- Spaghetti (This is the only pasta he likes)
3- Steak
4- Is Mt Dew classified as a food....
5- Whatever I have cooked. He isn't too picky so that is a plus.

5 Things you may not KNOW about him
1- He has arthritis in his left arm caused by a shoulder injury in high school. It's so bad that he can't wear his wedding ring.
2- He is VERY funny. He just has a sense of humor that anyone can enjoy.
3- His 2 teeth on the side of his 2 front teeth are his baby teeth. They never fell out! So if they ever do I might have one goofy looking husband because he won't get them fixed.
4- He is quite the bargain shopper. It will take him forever to make up his mind on what is the best deal for big purchases. For example it took him like a month or so find a lawn mower this summer.
5- He breaks out in song and dance at home whenever. It is pretty dang funny. He has got some killer moves.

5 PLACES he has lived
1- Rexburg
2- Ohio
3- Arco
4- Phillippines
5- Rigby

5 QUIRKY things about him
1- He HATES sweets. I know WHAT!!! But he really isn't a candy person. I guess that leaves more for me than right. He does like cookies though.
2- He HAS to sleep on the right side of the bed. Otherwise it hurts his bad shoulder.
3- He isn't ticklish at all.
4- He likes a clean house but I'm not the best person to keep it clean all the time (especially my closet.) In fact when we first moved into our home he made me a to do list. Ya that didn't last very long.
5- He gets REALLY into watching the dolphins or the tarheels play. He yells at the TV for bad calls, gets mad when they lose, gets excited when they win. It's a little ridiculous. He has their websites saved as favorites so he can check up on them everyday!

Playing Catch Up

Oh the holidays. I LOVE this time of year. It's a non stop party around here. I have been so busy this month I haven't had much time to blog. Where do you begin. Well I went back to work part time at AMET in Rexburg. I worked there before I had Taylor so it's fun being back with some old coworkers. Between that and being a wife, mother, sister, and friend it gets pretty crazy and my days just go by so fast.
Heres's a run down of the last couple of weeks activites
1. I went to Twilight and LOVED it. Worth watching over and over again.
2. Thanksgiving with my side of the family. Loved seeing everyone and especially seeing my grandpa. It was so cute seeing him watch all the grandkids running around.
3. Going EARLY morning shopping and spending too much money and great deals. It's a family tradition that all the girls go and brave the crowds. My cousins from Vegas come and join in on the fun too. This year didn't seem as exciting as the past years but still alot of fun.
4. Hanging out at my mom's with the kids running wild. Taylor had so much fun with everyone especially Cala. Those two are just so funny. One day we found them both in my mom's bathtub with the water on. They were a little wet.
5. Taking family pictures. Thanks Tara for setting it all up. It's a pain to have to set stuff like that up but she did it. They turned out great. Some of the grandkids weren't so excited about pictures. Can you guess which ones?
6. The guys playing XBox till the wee hours in the morning.
7. Listening to Jeremy's brother Ryan report his mission. I love listening to missionaries when they come home. You can really feel the spirit.
8. Eating way too much food all weekend long! Ya need to workout really bad. I think I packed on 10 lbs. So much good food to eat I couldn't resist!

I couldn't get this off of center alignment so the numbers aren't lined up. Haha. Here's a bunch of pictures. Anyway I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Now to prepare for Christmas.

Baby Tag

This was a fun tag. It's always fun talking about your kids. Whoever wants to do this one can.

This is of Taylor and me. I didn't get to see her until 6 hours after I had her. So no picture of me holding her after just of her in the NICU.

And this one is of Sadie and me.
1- Where were you when you first found out you were pregnant? At my house in the bathroom.

2- Who was with you? With Taylor - Jeremy was in the other room. With Sadie it was just me.

3- How did you find out that you were pregnant? Pregnancy Tests.....How else do you find out?

4- What was your first reaction to finding out you were pregnant? Excited with both. Sadie I was a little nervous.

5- Your husbands reaction? He was thrilled. Taylor was exciting cuz we had been trying for a little bit, then Sadie was a complete surprise. She came a little bit faster than I thought. I called Jeremy and asked him if he was ready to be a dad again. He was like "Again? YOU'RE PREGNANT!" Ya it threw him for a loop, but he was still excited.

6- Who was the first person you told? Jeremy of course.

7-Did you plan to get pregnant? Yep

8-Was everybody happy for you? Yep

9- Did you go out and celebrate? I don't remember really. I'm sure we did something exciting.

10- Did you want to find out the sex? Of course! I can't wait for those kinds of things.

11- What was the sex? Both girls. I'm pretty sure we are going to have three girls and be done.

12-Did anyone throw you a baby shower? Yes

13- If yes, who? My in laws, my mom and sisters, and my friend Amber tried to throw a shower for me but Taylor was born early and I was in the hospital when the shower was supposed to be:)!

14- How much weight did you gain? Really......I think like 30+ with each.

15- Did you loose all of the weight that you gained? Ya but lets be honest my body just doesn't look the same after 2 kids. The stomach needs some work. I'm not one of the lucky ones whose body is amazing after having kids. I only wish I was!

16- Did you get a lot of stretch marks? You betcha!

17- What did you crave the most? I really didn't crave anything in particular. I do remember one day I wanted a hot dog (I rarely eat these things) and told Jeremy. He told me that I didn't need a hot dog. It resulted in me crying over how I wanted a hot dog. He was like "Are you seriously crying over a hot dog?" Ya don't mess with a pregnant woman!

18- Did you crave anything crazy? No but I can't chew gum when I'm pregnant. It makes me sick.

19- Who or what got on your nerves the most? I honestly don't remember if anything got on my nerves.

20- Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? Nope. I am pretty lucky. I don't really even get sick when I'm pregnant.

21- Where were you when you went into labor? At home both times.

22- Did your water break? No. The doctor had to do it both times. Thank goodness. If my water would have broke I would've had Sadie at home.

23- Who drove you to the hospital? Jeremy. With Sadie we drove 100 mph on the highway, ran a red light, and plowed through snow drifts. We were kinda in a hurry with her.

24- Did you go early or late? Early. Taylor was 4 weeks early and Sadie was 2 weeks early.

25- Who was in the room with you when you gave birth? Jeremy

26- Was it video taped? HECK NO!

27- Did you have any drugs for the pain? With Taylor yes. With Sadie no (I didn't have time)

28-Did you go Natural or have a c-section? Natual

29- What was your first reaction after giving birth? I was excited. I don't think I cried. I was just so happy they were here.

30- How big was the baby(s)? Taylor was 6 lbs 5 oz and Sadie was 7 lbs 3 oz.

31- Did your Husband cry? Nope

32- What did you name the baby(s)? Taylor Nicole and Sadie Rae

33- Did the baby(s) have any complications? Taylor did. She was early and was having trouble breathing. We had to leave her in the NICU for a week. It was horrible. Leaving the hospital without her was so hard. I cried a lot! Poor Jeremy didn't know what to do. In the winter with the cold and flu season she always gets sick. I think it has to do with her being early. Sadie was healthy and I was really excited for that.

34- How old is your baby today? One is almost 3 and one is almost 1.

35- When is the next one(s) coming? Not anytime soon.

36-If you could, would you do it all over again? Yep. Maybe two more times. I love my kids!

She's Crawling!

Yes that's right my 10 month old has decided that she wants to crawl! She has been crawling backwards for a couple of weeks now. But yesterday she decided to move forward. I was so excited! Taylor looks at me and claps her hands and says "Mommy Sadie is crawling!" Taylor never really crawled. She went straight to walking around 10 months. I hope everyone has a baby like Sadie. She is the most chill happy baby you will ever meet! Here's a picture of her inching forward.

Now what's funny is that she does the splits to sit back up. If she just put her arms up I think she would look like a cheerleader!

I voted!

I finally voted! It was my first time. I felt all American afterward:)! Sadly Obama won. I'm not at all excited about the coming years. It is going to be rough. But I think the people will get what they asked for. CHANGE. In a bad way. This is just my opinion and some of you out there might think differently. How far removed are we from Sept 11th. We elect a president whose middle name is Hussain. I think if a celebrity ran for president they would win too. Who needs experience right. Maybe I'll run next time around. Oh wait is there an age limit if so I will have them change that. At least I put my hand over my heart to pay respect to my country. Enough ranting and raving all I can do now is hope and pray for the best.

My little ballerinas

The other night my parents ward had a halloween carnival. I took my girls and they had a great time. Taylor made sure to get two pieces of candy... one for her and one for sister (or mom). My friend Cat made them these tutus and they look sooooo cute! I love it!

Ryan's Home!

Jeremy's little brother Ryan got home Friday night from his mission! He was serving in the Bogota Columbia Mission. His english is a little rusty. He will start talking to you in spanish and you have to remind him that you don't know spanish. He looks great. Now all seven kids are home for the first time in 4 years. Here's the poster the nieces made for him.

Ryan brought Taylor back that cute shirt. He gave it to her at the airport. It was cute. He then gave her some candy so she would warm up to him.
And everyone at the airport. It's always exciting to watch missionaries come home. So much excitement!
Then of course Taylor has something funny to say to me. We were driving to the airport and we past the Temple. I told Taylor to look at her window. And here is our following conversation.
Taylor: "Oh the temple mom! Jesus lives there."
Me: "Yep, that's Jesus's house."
Taylor: "And Santa Clause's too."
I just bust up laughing. Never a dull moment in our home.

Halloween Party

Ever since Jeremy and I have been married every halloween we go to a party and you have to dress up. Half of the time I'm pregnant so we have to be creative with the costumes. Here are a couple of costumes we came up with.
First year we were bikers. Can't find the picture. Probably before digital cameras were a hit.

Pregnant Rigby cheerleader with the Madison football player. C'mon you know that it's funny. (Pregnant with Taylor)
The next year we went as hunters nothing too exciting so no pictures.
Last year we went as a priest and a pregnant nun. (Pregnant with Sadie)
And this year we went as can you guess......Ellen and Portia. It took A LOT of bribing to get Jeremy to dress up like a woman with make up and all. Doesn't he make a cute Ellen. Hahaha. Anyway the party was a lot of fun. We had some GREAT costumes show up. And in true Ellen style we played games that she plays on her TV show.

The first one we played is called the Marshmellow Game. It is soooo funny. Look at the pictures below. You'll get the idea. The next game we played was call Ahh Snap. Again look at the pictures below. Both games had everyone laughing. I'm just happy no one was seriously injured!
There were a lot of laughs and lots of good food. Thanks again for everyone coming. Oh and I'm going to put something together to send to Ellen. Maybe she will read my letter on air and call me and invite me to the show! I will keep you all updated. If anything she should read my letter and play the video clip! And the bald guy is Sharp. He REALLY did shave his head like that. He totally looks like an old man!

Growing Up

The other night we went out with Jeremy to look for places to hunt ducks. Taylor LOVED blowing the duck call. She actually wan't too bad at it. It made her daddy proud.
She loves playing with her play-dough. I think we pull it out once a day if not more.
This a classic Sadie face. If something new pops up in front of her this will be the expression we get.
And just a fun one. Sadie is into shaking her head no at me when I say no. She does it with a grin on her face. It has to be the cutest thing ever. I am working on getting that picture.

Kids just grow up so fast. I'm glad that we can have blogs to look at. I am horrible at scrapbooking and at keeping a journal. So blogs are a way of remembering the little things that get forgotten. All the fun pictures and memories that go with them right here on the internet. Isn't it GREAT!

Where to begin..

Gosh time is just flying by. September flew by and now it's starting to feel like winter. Well here are some updates on my family.

Sadie is now 9 months old! She has three teeth (she got one of her top ones and didn't even fuss! I'm telling you she is the BEST baby!) She weighs 16 lbs 5 oz and is 26 1/2" long. That puts her in the 10% for both height and weight. So she is still little. Sadie doesn't crawl yet. She would rather position herself to where she wants to go then roll to whatever she wants. She can roll pretty fast, too. There are some pictures of her rolling. So fun. And there are some pictures of Taylor hugging Sadie. You can see how happy she is when Tay does that.

Taylor has been having a fun time with all her friends. I get to watch my friend Amber's kids once a week and Taylor LOVES playing with Brylee. They are two of a kind. I love the picture of them where Brylee totally said something funny and Tay is just cracking up. Oh and lately she has just been taking naps where ever whenever. The other day I was fixing dinner and I look over and she was asleep on the floor. She also loves hanging out with her boyfriend Jaxon. Let's just say they are too much alike. Jenny and I have our hands full with those two.

Our good friends the Gaily's came up for conference weekend. It was so fun seeing them. We took the kids to Blast Off and they loved that. Their little girl Isabella has the prettiest red hair! I absolutely LOVE it. She is so sweet. Isa let Taylor boss her around all weekend. Kat and I did a little shopping (not nearly enough but oh well.) Oh and conference was great! It gives you a sense of hope after listening to it.

Jeremy has been out of town for work and is finally home. I hate when he is gone. Luckily I have good friends and family around to keep me busy! Oh one other funny thing Taylor said is this. I obviously must be going to Target too much cuz she comes up to me and says "Mom, I need fishes from Target." I busted up laughing. I always buy her a little box of fishes to eat there. Kids catch on quick!

Busy Busy Busy

I swear time just flies by.  We are almost done with the month of September.  Crazy!  My husband has stolen my camera for hunting purposes.  In hopes that he shoots one and can take a picture.  So there are no pictures for this post.

First of all I get to brag for a minute cuz I am so proud of myself!  We grew a garden this year and I got to can some of the goods from it.  I don't know the exact count of everything but I canned beans, applesauce, peaches, and pears.  I then dried apples and pears, then I froze peaches, peas, rasberries, corn, and made baby food.  It is alot of work and takes alot of time.  It is well worth it though. I feel like we have some sort of start on food storage now.

My girls are so funny.  Here is a conversation Taylor and I had the other day.  I was exhausted and was laying on the ground.
Taylor "Mom what happened?"
Me: "Kids"
Taylor: "Oh no!  I will get them mommy"
She then runs in the living room does something comes back and says this
Taylor: "Mom I got them, those kids, you feel better now?"
Me (Laughing): Yes Taylor I feel better.
Taylor: "Good!"

I just love my girls so much.  Taylor is always keeping me on my toes and Sadie is just so sweet.  She is getting closer to crawling but not quite there yet.  One of my favorite things is in the morning Taylor will always give Sadie a hug and Sadie has the BIGGEST smile on her face.  It just melts my heart!  I hope they stay good friends FOREVER!  That's not too much to ask for is it?

Just my luck!

What is this picture of you might ask? That would be my tooth! Let me take you back a few months. In April I went in for a cleaning and had a loose crown. We decided to leave it cuz it wasn't bothering me. In the meantime I had 4 cavities. So I got those taken care of. In August I had a root canal in another tooth! And now my loose crown ended up being that my whole tooth fell out with the post from a previous root canal. I now have to get an implant. I asked the dentist if they are going to name a room after me there cuz I'm there every month! All this without dental insurance. Yippee for us! I guess when it rains it pours. So I will not have a tooth on my one side for about 7 months. Just don't look to closely when your talking to me. Haha. Ugh the fun of it all. On the bright side it wasn't one of my front teeth!

And so it begins..

This is just a random picture. Taylor loves it when we put our hoods on our heads. She thinks it is so funny. Love these girls!
And so it begins.....hunting and football season. This time of year is probably Jeremy's favorite. Isn't he so manly in his hunting clothes! Hopefully all the hunting pays off and he kills something this year and soon. Fingers crossed.

Yes Jeremy is a Miami Dolphin fan! Why the dophins I don't know. They probably have the worst colors in the NFL. We bought the girls these before we even had kids to give them to. Technically the jersey Taylor is wearing was for a boy, but since we are lacking in this area it will work for her. She absolutly loves it too. She goes around the house yelling "Go Dolphins!" It is pretty funny. So you can guess what my kids will be wearing every Sunday! And like I said before and so it begins....
