Fun at the Fair

It's fair time again! I LOVE going. It brings back so many memories! Seeing how I'm making my blog into a book I'm going to jot down some of these memories.

1. My grandpa having his clydesdales in the barn and showing them every Thursday night of the fair. We would decorate his stalls, sit and watch people walk by, clean up the stalls, wash horses, and he would always take us to eat. I love my grandpa so much!

2. Showing horses every first Saturday at the fair. That's right I did horse 4-H. I always competed in the state fair and did good. Saturday mornings were crazy getting up, getting the horse in the trailer, getting my number from the judges, and finally showing my horse. I was always in tears right before I would show because I didn't know if I would make it! But mom and dad always made sure I was there and ready. Aren't parents the greatest!

3. Going with friends to ride the rides and play at the fair. There are way too many memories here but some of my favorites would be taking Erica there every year with a new experience happening each year, going with some friends and almost getting beat up by a giant HESHE while we ran to our car, and finally taking my hubby to the rascal flatts concert and on rides. I have to give props to Mindy and Michelle for convincing me that I should ask him. Lol. That's where it all started up again. Even though I made him sick from the rides. He was a trooper.

Now I get to take my kids to enjoy the fair. Look at how excited they are!

The girls really liked the animals. The goats were a hit.

At the petting zoo sadie thought it would be cool or dad thought it would be cool if she sat on a goat. She thought that was fun. She kept going back and sitting on it herself.

Oh the blasted merry go round. Out of ALL the rides this is the one Taylor HAD to ride. Why I don't know. Jeremy got 6 tickets to go on it. 3 for Taylor and 3 for Sadie and then he would just stand on it. Well we got up there and the lady made Jeremy pay to ride it too. What a rip off! So Sadie didn't get to ride it. She watched with me. So here is a picture of the $6 ride. Lol. Taylor had fun until she had to get off then it was a cry fest between her and Sadie. Let's just say we left the ride area immediatly.

Me and my girlies! Had to get the culligan feather hats! We walked through the pig barn on the way out and they had some crayons and paper so I picked up one for both of my girls. I gave Taylor hers and she says "MOM I got everything I wanted! Thanks mom and dad!" So that made my fair day totally worth it! And I have to give props to Jeremy for coming. Thanks babe!

So cute. It looks like you had a lot of fun. On a side note, you should take your girls to the park to ride the carousel. When we took our boys they let us stand by them for free.

Love the pics. It was the first time this year we went to the fair. Robert found out they had Mutton Bustin so he signed Justin up and he got on the sheep but the go had to run with him because he wanted off. It was so cute and scary at the same time. Robert almost got teary eyed and I was freaking out LOL! I saw some other two year old get on and feel off crying so I was very nervous for my son. He did great got a ribbon for being a contestant and a buckle with Mutton Bustin Contestant on it. Pretty cool!
