1. My grandpa having his clydesdales in the barn and showing them every Thursday night of the fair. We would decorate his stalls, sit and watch people walk by, clean up the stalls, wash horses, and he would always take us to eat. I love my grandpa so much!
2. Showing horses every first Saturday at the fair. That's right I did horse 4-H. I always competed in the state fair and did good. Saturday mornings were crazy getting up, getting the horse in the trailer, getting my number from the judges, and finally showing my horse. I was always in tears right before I would show because I didn't know if I would make it! But mom and dad always made sure I was there and ready. Aren't parents the greatest!
3. Going with friends to ride the rides and play at the fair. There are way too many memories here but some of my favorites would be taking Erica there every year with a new experience happening each year, going with some friends and almost getting beat up by a giant HESHE while we ran to our car, and finally taking my hubby to the rascal flatts concert and on rides. I have to give props to Mindy and Michelle for convincing me that I should ask him. Lol. That's where it all started up again. Even though I made him sick from the rides. He was a trooper.
Now I get to take my kids to enjoy the fair. Look at how excited they are!

I was Shocked at how much the rides cost too!!
What a fun year at the fair! I also loved to read some of your memories, it makes me think back on all of my fair memories too! :) Cute hat by the way, you are so stylish!
HAHA that's so funny about the carousel. i hate those things! I still need to get my kids down there.
So cute. It looks like you had a lot of fun. On a side note, you should take your girls to the park to ride the carousel. When we took our boys they let us stand by them for free.
so fun! yes, nothing is like the eastern idaho state fair...oh the memories! although your's is much better than mine, i don't even remember the days we competed for horse 4-h, i just remember all my blue ribbons;)
Love the pics. It was the first time this year we went to the fair. Robert found out they had Mutton Bustin so he signed Justin up and he got on the sheep but the go had to run with him because he wanted off. It was so cute and scary at the same time. Robert almost got teary eyed and I was freaking out LOL! I saw some other two year old get on and feel off crying so I was very nervous for my son. He did great got a ribbon for being a contestant and a buckle with Mutton Bustin Contestant on it. Pretty cool!
