Potty Training

Ok I am really not a fan of potty training. I think Taylor is ready cause she will go when I make her go, but then she is so stubborn at times (and she will always go for Jeremy). I have tried the treat thing, playing a game after, and I am attempting the poster with stickers on it. She just gets bored with the rewards. I just don't think anything is working. She refuses to go #2 in the potty. It drives me crazy. I know I am supposed to be patient but this potty training thing is really testing my patience. So I need ideas from you moms who have been there and done that. What are some things you have tried? I need ideas. Something has to work. Thanks!

I was so frustrated with trying to potty train Kynlee that I quit. I completely quit doing anything that was not her idea with the potty. One day she was ready and it was the end of all diapers. It really just only took her one day; and much to my annoyance it wasn't until after her third birthday. So that is my advice. Give up and let it be completely up to her. Good luck!

I know the feeling. I finally just put Brylee in panties everyday and she would have accidents all the time at first but she did not like it when she did because she got all embarassed and it felt gross compared to a diaper so she just got in the habit of running to the potty! We just use pull ups at night. Oh and the panties have to be princess panties!:) and another thing....if I let her flush and say bye to the poop she thought that was cool! lol Good luck, call me lets let the girls play this week!

We just got Ashlyn under control. The trick is undies. If they have an accident and it gets their pants wet and everything they get sick of it real quick. A few times Ashlyn had to change out of her favorite outfits because she wet them and had to wear something else which really frustrated her. And I let her pick out the undies at the store. We still do pull ups at night but they are dry most mornings.

Argrff!! I hate potty training. It has been a never ending battle with Kinlee. She is also stubborn. I have heard that it is best to let it be their idea, and they will choose to do it when they are ready. That is what I am going to do, but I hope she decides to go potty real soon. What a pain!!

I agree with the other moms, they need to wear underwear. Davy quickly conquered going potty it was #2 that was hard for us. I tried having him saying goodbye as he flushed, that worked for about 2 days. Then he started pooping in his underwear all the time. Finally I started putting him on his naughty chair after an accident (well after I cleaned him up) and I only remember doing that twice. Now he runs in there and takes care of himself. Good luck!

Sorry about the potty training. I also agree with the panties. It is hard for you for a couple of days to have to clean up. But just keep panties on her and nothing else. Don't put pants on her. Also try to have her teach one of her dolls to pee in the toilet. If you have one that pee's. Good luck!
