Graduation #2

Jeremy's little sister Alysha graduated from high school too (and from seminary.) She is such a fun girl. I just love her. It is never a dull moment when Alysha is around.

The family minus Ryan who is on a mission and Emily and Arik who couldn't get work off (dang jobs). Ignore the shiny eyes. I don't know what is going on with my camera.
My family with the new college bound student!
This is not a very good picture but both of my girls slept through most of graduation. It was nice. Taylor had just woke up in the above pictures.

Potty Training

Ok I am really not a fan of potty training. I think Taylor is ready cause she will go when I make her go, but then she is so stubborn at times (and she will always go for Jeremy). I have tried the treat thing, playing a game after, and I am attempting the poster with stickers on it. She just gets bored with the rewards. I just don't think anything is working. She refuses to go #2 in the potty. It drives me crazy. I know I am supposed to be patient but this potty training thing is really testing my patience. So I need ideas from you moms who have been there and done that. What are some things you have tried? I need ideas. Something has to work. Thanks!

Graduation #1

My little brother Kyle graduated Seminary and high school this past week. I can't believe he is that old and ready to move into the real world. It makes me feel old. The other day Kyle told me it felt like yesterday that he watched me graduate and now it is his turn (7 years later.) We are all so excited for him!

After piles of makeup work Kyle received his Seminary diploma.

My family with Kyle. Taylor was with grandma and didn't want to get in the picture. That is why only half of her face is in the picture. Oh my dad is in the background. He teaches at the high school so he got to wear a robe too.

Kyle's #1 fans. All seven nieces and nephews. They all love Uncle Kyle so much.

Finally!

Finally we have warm weather! Not that it will last very long, but we took advantage while we could. Taylor has no fear of anything except bugs. Jeremy drenched her with the hose the other day and she just loved it. We went to the Riot Zone with some friends and the kids had a fun time on the inflatable toys. Then the wives took the kids on the bumper boats. That was exciting! I couldn't get my boat parked at the end. I guess I just didn't want to get out yet:)! Saturday was filled with shopping and fun in the sun! Taylor loved the sprinklers. I think she loved chasing the dogs through them more. Sadie was just swinging in the shade having a good ol time. Then we bought Taylor a kite and she flew it all by herself until she got bored with it and let it go. Jeremy had to chase the kite down through half the neighborhood. I wish the warm weather was here to stay but it is supposed to cool down again. Oh well we will have fun in it while we can!

Mother's Day

I am a little late on posting about mothers day but oh well. I had a great day! I love being a mom. Jeremy was so cute. I love when he writes me little notes or letters. The only thing is, it is a once a year occurance if that. So when I get one it is a big deal to me. Well Saturday night I fell asleep while he was doing some work. I woke up with Sadie in the middle of the night and in her bed was a letter to me. I got all teary eyed. It was so cute and thoughtful. He is so sweet. It made my day! Then in the morning Taylor wakes up and says Happy Mommy day! I seriously am so happy to be a mom to such cute and loving girls. I couldn't be happier.

Cookie before church. We have to bribe her. Hahaha.
Giving Sadie cereal for the first time. She loves it! She will smile so big and gets so excited when I give it to her. The past week she has been waking up a lot at night. But yesterday I gave her some cereal before bed and she slept from 10 until 5 that morning. I was really glad! So the cereal is here to stay.
And last but not least the cake I made for my sister's bday (Happy Birthday Lindsey!). My in-laws have this cake a lot and I love it so I thought I would give it a whirl. It is angel food cake with a strawberry frosting over it. Yes it is as good as it looks.

4 Months

Sadie had her 4 month checkup this week. She weighed in at 13 lbs and is 24 inches long. She also had to get her shots. Sadie doesn't do well with shots. The first day I can't even move her without her screaming. I give her Tylenol and it really doesn't seem to work. After the first day she is back to her happy self. She is growing up so fast!
This is Taylor's version of a family picture. She had to set all of her stuffed animals around me telling each one of them "Picture smile." She then ran and got the camera gave it to Jeremy and sat down. She told her dad to take the picture. It was pretty funny. She is always cracking me up. Like the other day she took off her panties put her shirt over her head and put her hands on her hips and said "Shake your bum bum mommy shake your bum bum." She was standing shaking her little naked bum. I laugh just thinking about it.
Jeremy with his girls. He is such a great dad! He can make both of them laugh so hard. They are both daddy's little girls. I love it!

Look who's 50!

My mom turned 50 yesterday. Here are just a few things we did to her! We love you!
Lindsey and Courtney decorated my mom's cars so she had to drive to work like this. The guy at Wendy's told her happy birthday:)! I called her to tell her happy birthday and she was saying how embarassed she was. I just laughed knowing that we had decorated her office too. She had no idea. So I get another phone call and her saying "I can't believe this." It was just too funny!
Surprise! On Friday we had a surprise birthday party for mom. My uncle Blair ant aunt Celia got this wheelchair for her and dad wheeled her in. She thought she was going to dinner with them instead found a lot of family in the kitchen! It was really fun. Notice Lindsey building a giant Diet Coke cake. Great idea Tara!
My aunt and uncle also have a ball pit in their house. Yep that's right. It is so much fun. Mom jumped in to show her youth. The grandkids loved it. But I think my brother and sisters liked it more. Mom you still got it!
Here is Taylor giving mom her balloons. Sadie is alseep in her car seat. The balloon said "I demand a recount!" Overall we had a lot of surprised for mom and really had a good time. I love you mom and you are the best. Thanks for all you do for me and my family. Love you lots!

Denim Dresses

Here are Taylor and Sadie before church. Had to capture the denim dresses. They are just too cute. Jeremy and I were talking and saying how many pictures we have of the girls compared to what we had when we were little. Crazy what a digital camera can do.

Oh Uncle Chad spoiling Taylor with a horse ride. She loves horses and will seriously walk right up to one. She gets that from me. Taylor will ride for hours. Not sure how he got her off this horse without a major meltdown, but he did. Taylor loves Uncle Chad! (He even put a towel under her so her pants wouldn't get dirty. How thoughtful.)
Here is a generation picture of Jeremy's grandparents, his dad, Jeremy, and the girls. It is so fun to have memories like this. I just love his grandma and grandpa. They are the greatest! Such great examples to follow. I just cherish every moment I have with them and with my grandpa.

Tag 7 Random Things

I was tagged forever ago to do this. Sorry Jess it took me a little while to think up some. So here I go.

1- I HATE going to the dentist. The one thing that I hate the most are the Q-tips they put in your mouth before they numb you. I am gagging and getting queasy just thinking about it. Other than that it's not so bad.

2- I am a year away from graduating with a bachelors in mechanical engineering. Will I ever get it probably not. I would rather get a degree in Accounting.

3- I have to clean up right after dinner. I hate having food out and dishes out in the kitchen. Drives me crazy.

4- I am learning to love to run. I never thought I would enjoy it but it is a really big stress reliever for me. And I am trying to lose some pregnancy weight so I figure why not run.

5- I know a lot about professional sports. I try to keep up to date on those things so I can update my hubby. I really enjoy watching them too. I guess I take after my dad that way and Jeremy doesn't mind it either. He says its one of the reasons he fell in love with me. Ahhh how sweet.

6- I'm a morning person. Always have been. Kind of hard sometimes with a new baby but I am still up pretty early and really happy.

7- I have flashed hundreds of people in Vegas! No not on purpose but it is a pretty funny story. Maybe if we have a tag about embarrassing stories I will fill everyone in on it. Traci I know you remember it!

So there you have it 7 random things about me. Now I tag Alicia, Tara (you better do this one), April, and whoever wants to.
