Garrett Thayne Stucki

Our baby boy is here!!!!!  Garrett Thayne Stucki was born on April 26, 2013, 7 lbs 8 oz, and 21" long at 7:51 am.  3 weeks early!  Here is the story.  The picture below is of me at 36 weeks pregnant.  I went to my dr that day and he informed me that he was going to be out of town the next week.  I thought to myself great that's when I will have my baby.  I had the doc check me and I was dialated to a 1 and 50% effaced.  No big deal.  Dr didn't think I would go into labor that week.  I asked him if I was dialated a lot next week could I get induced (I have fast labors).  He said yes and adjusted my due date to May 10th instead of May 17th.  With that all done I figured I was having my baby on May 3.  Well not so much.  Friday morning I started having contractions.  I timed them woke Jeremy up at 5:30 am, called my neighbor Cathy to come over with the girls, and off we went to the hospital.  I was still pretty calm and knew we would make it to the hospital.  Get to the hospital around 6:30.  They check me I'm at a 6 (better than the 8 I'm usually at).  I was excited because I was going to have time for an epidural!  They get me to the delivery room at 7.  Got the epidural at 7:15ish, but when the dr was taking off the adhesive it pulled the catheter out and had to do it again.  He said he has never done that in 32 yrs.  Of course it would happen to me.  By that time I could feel pressure and had the nurse check me.  I was at 7 plus she said..  Well with my Dr being out of town the on call Dr came in and said he was going to to break my water and then come back in a little bit.  I told him nope if you break my water you will be delivering my baby.  He checked me and sure enough I was at a 9 and he said it was go time.  Remember how I just got my epidural well it was just barely working.  I was trying to pump as much medicine in me as possible.  To say the least the epidural did take away the contraction pain which was nice but as far as everything else, yep I felt it.  Dr broke my water at 7:35ish and Garrett was born at 7:51.
36 weeks

First Bath

My favorite moment was when the girls came to meet Garrett.  When I showed them him they all at the same time go "AWWWWWW."  Sweetest moment ever!

Going Home

While we were at the hospital Garrett's eyes got really irritated by something and swelled up so bad.   They were so read and swollen.  Poor guy couldn't even open his eyes.  The pediatrician wasn't concerned and the swelling has gone down sooooo much!

I'm so very grateful for everyone who has helped us out.  My little sister Lindsey who came to my house on Friday and played mom to my girls all day Friday and Saturday.  I don't know what I would've done without her here.  She was a lifesaver!  My girls were in heaven with her here.  My mother in law who has been taking such good care of us this week.  My mom who is coming to help me the rest of the week.  And last my amazing husband!  Jeremy has been so wonderful and so attentive to me and our little family.  It is so fun watching him interact with his little boy!  I love my husband more than words can describe and I'm so blessed to have him in my life!  He always is making me laugh even when I'm in labor and said that my contractions were probably like his gas pains.  Haha.  I told him he should probably stop talking now :).  I just can't get enough of my little baby boy!  I just want to snuggle him all day long.

Baby

I thought I would take a minute and say a few things about being pregnant this time around.  Things I love
Feeling the baby kick, having the girls come and give my belly kisses, seeing ultrasounds every visit, and just the miracle it is that this baby was meant to be ours.
Things that I won't miss
My ever growing belly (can't wait to get back into shape), not going to lie I feel so unattractive as a pregnant person, the constant nausea, and getting up every hour of the night to use the bathroom.

This picture our baby boy is at 34 weeks.  He has his hands all curled up by his face.  I can't wait to have him here!  With that being said I am TERRIFIED to go into labor.  I have nightmares.  My last 2 babies have come soooo fast (no time for an epidural) and 2 weeks early (Taylor was 4 weeks early).  I'm afraid I'm going to be the next KSL story of "Lady delivers baby on route to hospital."  I know it will all be ok but I just need it to come and get it over with and have my baby so I can stop worrying about it :).  I always say it's like a roller coaster....once it starts you can't get off until it's over.  So let the labor begin.

And just for kicks and giggles here is a picture of me at 33 weeks I think....I'm 35 weeks now.  My girls always compare me to other pregnant people and say wow mom you're way bigger.  I'm pretty sure they think I'm larger than life right now.   Haha.
This baby boy has no idea how much he is going to be loved and how wanted he is in our home.  It is going to be so fun having a baby around again!

Why I Love My Girls

Everyday my girls just surprise me with just how sweet and how special they are to me.  For starters Raigen still occasionally will come into our room and crawl into bed with us.  Jeremy always says that we need to tell her no but guess who always lets her climb in....HIM!  She has got her daddy wrapped around her little finger.  Raigen LOVES her daddy.  This picture just explains their relationship.  Love that they are sleeping like this.

And then there's the makeup.  Taylor puts hers on all subtle, Sadie is a little bit subtle, and then there's Raigen all over her face.  Haha.  They are so proud of themselves.

And there's Taylor who is so willing to help all the time.  I came outside and Taylor was trying to help Sadie ride her bike.  Such a cute thing to watch.  And yes it was Saturday and yes we staying in pj's all day long.

One night I was downstairs with Jeremy and the girls come downstairs laughing.  I look over and they have stuffed their shirts with balloons and were laughing saying they were pregnant.  I couldn't help but laugh and of course take a picture.  Poor Sadie is getting poked by my big belly.
Watching conference was great.  Hearing the words of our prophet and the apostles is always uplifting.  My favorite talk was the one by Elder Holland.  He is such a powerful speaker.  Anyways Sadie was playing sick and Raigen was trying to take care of her by reading books and singing to her.
A couple months back the girls went over to my sister in law Alysha's for a girls night.  They did facials, danced, and ate way too much candy.  Alysha's cute friend Ali took some fun pictures of the girls that night.  This one is my fav.  Love Raigen's Chinese face.  She is definitely my child!
I know I say this all the time but I really am blessed to have such amazing little girls!

Spring Break

The first week April was SPRING BREAK for Taylor.  Can I just say how much I love not being on a schedule?!?  Love love love it!  Since we were doing a staycation instead of going anywhere I wanted to do fun things everyday of the week.  Monday we took it easy but made it to some stores for some shopping and treats.  Tuesday we went to the zoo with our good friends the Loftins.  The girls LOVE the zoo.  The animals were all out and about and the carasel was up and going the girls were in heaven.  Besides me having panic attacks about where all the kids were (constantly counting making sure we had everyone) it was fun!  I don't have to take a stroller anywhere right now.....and that will last for about 4 more weeks.  Lol.  Sometimes I ask myself why am I starting over again?  Haha no really I couldn't be happier to be having a baby around again.  Anyways Wednesday I had to babysit kids so it was a park day.  Taylor was loving running and having me time her.  I got out there and she timed me while I ran...let's just say she killed me.  Thursday was appointment day.  Dentist....NO CAVITIES....Haircuts......Baby Appointment....had to get everything done before baby boy gets here.  Friday we took the girls to The Croods.  So funny!  But I have to say I'm looking forward to Despicable Me 2 to come out.  We were laughing so hard.  Overall I think we had a pretty good staycation.

We also took the girls to Cal Ranch to check out the chicks and bunnies.  Needless to say the girls tried their hardest to talk their dad into getting a bunny and no such luck.  I even tried to get him to get one too.  So no bunny at our house yet :).

Taylor was snapping pictures of Jeremy and I and we put on a pretty good show.

Raigen has monkey toes like her mama!

Back to reality this week.  I really can't wait for summer to come.  I love having all my girls home and just doing whatever whenever.  It really is the best.  Only 2 more months!

Easter

This year we stayed home for Easter.  Granny and Papaw were here for the day and came with us to the egg hunt.  We took the girls to a local park with about a thousand other kids for the Easter egg hunt.  The girls did pretty good considering how many kids were there.  We dyed Easter eggs at the house and enjoyed a Easter Sunday with some friends and family.

Ugh I LOVE these girls so much!  I could learn a thing or two from them.  They loved their Easter dresses and looked adorable I might add :).

Raigs is in a phase where she doesn't want to wear ANYTHING in her hair EVER. :).

School Party

At Taylor's school they have attendance parties and this time around it was free skating at Classic Fun Center.  I took the girls because Jeremy had scouts to go to.  It was pretty fun until Sadie crashed a couple of times so we called it a night.
We like The Voice at our house and this year Taylor has gotten into it.  She thinks Blake Shelton is hilarious especially when he points to himself.

Sadie and her fluffy skirt.  She is my girly girl :).

Raigen loves dress ups.  She's so fun to have around our house!

33 weeks prego.  It's coming up fast!

Idaho Trip

A couple of weeks ago my bestest friend in the whole wide world Mindy let me watch her sweet little baby Ruby while she and her hubby went to the March Madness games here in SLC.  I did NOT want to give this cute thing back to her :).

The next day the girls and I and Kyle's fiance Madi packed up and went to Idaho for the weekend. My mom and I got lots done for the baby, went wedding dress shopping with Madi, out to dinner with all my cute friends from there, watched Courtney play bball, got my hair done, and hung out with family.  It was the perfect trip.

Oh and while there we busted out some old pictures.  This was right after Eric got back from his mission.  Lol.  Love my dad's mustache :).
