Close Call

The other day this little miss had a close call. She was almost hit by a car. I write this experience down to remind me (not that I'll ever forget) that life is so very fragile. Here's what happened. (Isn't she so stylish in her shades :))
I had taken the girls to my neighbors across the street to water their flowers for them. I was all done and started heading for home. Raigen was in front of me and the other 2 ladies were still coloring on the sidewalk. I turn to tell them to put the chalk away and to come on. I turn back around only to find Raigen already headed for home and was 1/4 of the way on the street. I look and see a car coming. I start screaming RAIGEN STOP!!!! To which she just goes a little faster thinking I'm chasing her. I'm still screaming and running for her. I then realize the car isn't stopping and neither is Raigen. I stop and think I'm going to see my baby get hit by a car! Raigen was literally inches away from the car when she turns (a really wide turn) away from the car. It was like an Angel had taken her by the shoulders and veered her away from the car. If Raigen had gone a second sooner or wouldn't have been turned she would have been hit. I scoop her up and am just shaking and crying. There was a neighbor girl across the street who saw everything. I look at her and say "That scared the crap out of me!" She agreed. I still get tears in my eyes thinking about how close she was to being hit. All I know is I'm so very thankful that I have all my girls with me today! I don't think I could function without them. When I told my mom about it she asked me what I could learn from this experience. It really made me think. We all have bad days with our kids where they drive you crazy. But in a second they could be taken from you. I have tried to have a new attitude and to be more patient and loving with them. To not get upset when their upset. To do more things with them. Make more memories. Not going to lie it's not easy. But this experience opened my eyes that life is so very fragile and to make the most of it while we can. Anyway I'm just need to jot this down for me. And to let my girls know that they are the world to me and that I LOVE them so much. Family is what really is important in life. It really is.

Pineview

Went went up to Pineview today with our friends the Clarks. It was a BLAST! The girls weren't afraid of anything. First time for them on a boat and they were water skiing and swimming in the lake. With both our families combined we have 6 girls. When we started out the trip we were all sitting in the back of the boat. Yep that's Jer with A LOT of girls....can you imagine.

Yep even little ol Raigs tried it out! It was dang cute to watch.
I though for sure there was NO way Sadie would try it but I was wrong. She was laughing the whole time.
Taylor was a natural at this! She was concentrating so hard and what leg to put weight on to go back and forth.
And last but not least these 3 LoVe ice cream!

4th of July

The holiday was fun! We first went up to Idaho to hit up my 10 yr high school reunion. Always a good time getting to see people you haven't seen in forever! Then we came back to Utah did the Layton festivities and then went camping with our good friends the Gailey's and Kunz's.

Me and the hubster. We don't get pictures together that often so I have to take advantage of it when I can.
Ok Raigen with a little smile (yes she is really dirty)
Raigen with her "cheesy" smile. LOVE this face.
Kunz and Jer getting a little excited about sparklers.
I shot my first pistol!
Kunz took all the kids on a 4 wheeler ride and this is pretty accurate to what us parents were thinking while they were gone :).
Cute little friends.

4th of July outfits.
Typical picture of Jer at a parade.

Ok Raigen was dancing to all the music it was so funny.
Other highlights of the parade they girls LOVED the cheerleaders and would get so excited when they were coming down the street. Sadie would say "cheerleaders are so awesome!" Then a truck came down the street playing baby baby oh and my girls were like star struck!

A Little Bad Luck

We have had a run of bad luck lately. This past week the following has happened - our computer fried, the garage door broke (after Jeremy just painted it), the honda's brakes went out, Jeremy gouged his finger, and Taylor broke her finger (a couple of weeks ago). I'm hoping this string of bad luck ends soon.

When my little brother came home Taylor was playing with her cousins and a ball hit her finger. I thought she just jammed her finger so I told her she would be fine (this was Sat.) On TUES I was taking the girls to get their hair trimmed and Taylor was like mom my finger really hurts. So I looked at it and it was super swollen!!! I then decided maybe I should take you to the doctor. After the X-ray they said it had a little fracture. This is her finger the day I took her in.

She is one tough girl!!!! After a week I took her back in to get her finger x-rayed again and they then said it was for sure broken. We were then off to the orthopedic to see what he said about it and they just splinted it again. Here are the girls enjoying their suckers while we waited for the doctor to come in.
Sadie is kinda crazy. Lol.
And to brighten my day after the string of bad luck are these beauties! One of my favorite things about my house is to see what all the flowers are going to be. These are my fav!
